Data Deletion Policy

1. Your Right to Erasure

At Ballsity, we respect your right to privacy and your right to control your personal data. In compliance with global privacy regulations (including GDPR and CCPA), we provide you with the ability to request the complete deletion of your personal data from our systems.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

To request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data, you have two options:

• Automated Deletion (Recommended): Log into your Ballsity account, navigate to your Profile Settings, scroll to the "Danger Zone" section, and click "Delete Account". You will be prompted to confirm this action via email.
• Manual Request: You can submit a written request to our support team via WhatsApp (+2347068590598) or email. Please include the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity before processing the request.

3. What Happens When You Request Deletion?

Upon receiving and verifying your request, we will initiate the deletion process within 30 days. The following actions will be taken:

• Account Removal: Your login credentials, email address, and authentication data will be permanently deleted from our secure Supabase authentication provider.
• Personal Identifiers: Your name, avatar, phone number, and any other direct personal identifiers will be scrubbed from our primary databases.
• Uploaded Media: Any images or media you uploaded (such as personal avatars) will be queued for deletion from our secure storage.

4. Data Retained (Anonymization)

Due to the interconnected nature of sports tournaments, completely removing a player record would corrupt historical match data and tournament integrity for other users. Therefore, certain data is anonymized rather than deleted:

• Match Statistics: Goals, assists, cards, and appearances are retained to preserve the historical integrity of the tournaments and leagues you participated in.
• Anonymization Process: Your name in these historical records will be replaced with an anonymous identifier (e.g., "Former Player #4582"), and the record will be unlinked from your deleted email and profile.

5. Backups and Timelines

While your data is deleted from our active production databases within 30 days, please note that it may take up to an additional 60 days for your data to be completely expunged from our secure, encrypted backup systems. Data in backups is isolated and not actively processed.
